Anthony Calaluca is the Performing Arts teacher at the Franklin Academy Sunrise campus. Mr. Calaluca has been teaching music for the past two years. Prior to teaching, he taught private music lessons, performed with local bands, and was an assistant music director for local Fort Lauderdale Shows.
Mr. Calaluca is very excited for the upcoming 2016-2017 school. He is eager to start the year off in his new position as the sixth grade preforming arts teacher, and he is looking forward to seeing his students! |
Music Students will learn the fundamentals of singing and music theory through daily activities and practice. Students will also gain basic musical and historical knowledge related to the music that is learned in class. All music will be chosen for its educational value and its historical, cultural, and artistic significance.

DramaIn the subject Drama, students have opportunities to learn about a range of forms and styles of the dramatic art form and gain understandings of human experience in different cultures, times and places. Drama connects students to creative, technical and other cognitive processes and provides opportunities for them to imagine and explore beliefs, feelings, behaviors and relationships across many situations and contexts.

Dance Dance education develops unique, powerful, and multiple ways of perceiving, interpreting, knowing, representing, and communicating understandings about self and the world. Through dance experiences, students have opportunities to think creatively, explore ideas and feelings, and develop emerging personal, cultural, and social identities.
